Q: How did you first start playing water polo?
A: I first started in swim club and joined water polo as a way to keep swimming over the winter, but I soon fell in love with the sport!
Q: What is it about water polo that made you fall in love with the sport?
A: The friendships I developed with my teammates!
Q: What is your favourite water polo memory?
A: My favourite water polo memory is the first gold medal I won after I transitioned to head coach at Polo Bears
Q: What made you want to be a coach?
A: I wanted to be a coach to be a positive influence on athletes - to provide a safe yet competitive environment, allow athletes to learn and grow, and to be an advocate for mental health in sport. I wanted to be a role model athletes can look up to and I hope that they learn not only how to improve in the sport, but the life lessons water polo can teach you.
Q: Who was your most influential coach?
A: My most influential coach is not only a mentor to me but also a good friend now - Kennedy not only was my first coach (at swim club when I was 9) but I am proud to have coached alongside her. She played a big role in my decision to coach and helped develop me into not only the coach I am, but the person I am today as well.
Q: Who is an athlete you admire?
A: Zach Hyman
